Bean Dreams is a 2D platformer especially developed for touchscreen devices to offer a truly brilliant, intuitive control system. Your character, who's something like a green bean in a hat, is always jumping and bouncing around. Your job is to move him to the left and right by tapping both sides of the screen.
As usual, in the first few levels everything seems easy … but it's actually not easy at all. Bean Dreams is very well designed, and although you can usually finish the game without much difficulty, accomplishing the three objectives while doing so is really hard. In some levels, for instance, you have to jump from one enemy to the next until the end, without failing even a single time.
The game has more than 70 different levels scattered throughout a dozen worlds. In each of these levels, there are three goals you have to accomplish: finding the axolotl, collecting all the fruit, and getting to the end in a certain number of bounces. Deserving of special mention are the graphics, with some properly gorgeous settings.
Bean Dreams is an excellent platformer developed by an excellent studio. Some previous work from Kumobius includes the outstanding Time Surfer, as well as the equally great Duet.
